Book and pay

Slots come from each water point's opening hours, slot length, per-slot capacity and daily capacity. The final confirmation rechecks everything, keeps one active booking per household per day, works out the tariff and subsidy, and takes the money from the wallet in the same step.

Visual calendar

Open, full and blocked slots for the next seven days.

Wallet

Deposits by Orange Money or Airtel Money, and a full ledger.

Receipts

One receipt per payment, printed on screen and readable by SMS.

Refunds

Cancel a future booking and the money returns once.

Approval queue

Balance, priority, slot load and an AI suggestion beside every request.

Water points

Add, edit or close sources, set hours, capacity and price per 100 L.

Maintenance

Blocked slots, automatic refunds and free alternatives sent to households.

Announcements

Notice to every household by app and SMS.

Approvals and sources

Coordinators stop keeping paper lists. They see who is asking, whether the wallet covers it and how full the slot is, then approve or deny with a reason. The household is told either way.

Explainable AI

The pilot engine is rules-based on purpose, so a coordinator can always say why. Models trained on pilot data come later; the checks below already run today.

Demand forecast

Expected bookings per day and the busiest time, from the same weekday in recent weeks.

Intelligent priority

Need-based points with a reason for each point, reviewed for bias across groups.

Assistant

Answers in Malagasy, French and English using the household's own data.

Anomaly detection

Flags repeated cancellations, no-shows, deposit bursts and unusual volumes for review.

Conflict resolution

When a slot is full or blocked, the nearest free slots are offered.

Built to be trusted

Roles limit each person to their own functions. Every important action is written to an audit trail where each line depends on the one before it, so edits show up. Wallet changes run in single transactions.

  • Role-based access control
  • Tamper-evident audit trail
  • Two-step sign-in (TOTP)
  • PIN lockout on USSD
  • Hashed passwords and PINs
  • Backup, integrity check and restore
